Sonya Li is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In her role, she is focused on strategic transactions for Blue Owl as well as direct lending to middle market financial businesses.
Before joining Blue Owl, Sonya was a Principal at Angel Island Capital, a Golden Gate Capital portfolio company based in San Francisco. Prior to that, she was an Associate at Tennenbaum Capital. She began her career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Rothschild.
Sonya received a BS in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Management from the Wharton School and a BA in International Studies as part of the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors.
Eugene Lim is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. In his role, he focuses on supporting Blue Owl's Private Wealth business development in Asia.
Before joining Blue Owl, Eugene led the Private Markets team at UBS, covering all markets (Greater China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Emerging Markets) managed out of the Singapore office. He began his wealth management career at J.P. Morgan.
Eugene majored in Finance at the National University of Singapore where he was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal for graduating top of his class. His undergraduate thesis, on alternating conditional expectations in the field of decision sciences, was published in the International Journal of Production Economics. Eugene is a CFA and CAIA charter holder.
Gary Lin is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. Gary serves as the Head of Global Portfolio Strategy and Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for the global growth and expansion of product and portfolio strategy across the full platform with Financial Advisors and High Net Worth Investors.
Before joining Blue Owl, Gary spent 10 years at Blackstone where he held numerous leadership roles in multiple regions and parts of the business. Most recently, Gary was a senior member of the real estate group based in New York covering opportunistic, core plus, and debt strategies with institutional relationships across the Americas Region. Additionally, he worked globally with the private wealth division to expand distribution of the flagship vehicle, Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust. Prior to his role in real estate, Gary served as the Head of Asia for Blackstone’s private wealth division based in Singapore where he built the business and led strategic initiatives across the region. Prior to that, Gary was the Head of Southeast Asia alternatives business at JP Morgan and worked at Morgan Stanley in New York where he built out data, analytics, and sales reporting functions for the Alternatives group. Gary began his career in private wealth and alternatives at Merrill Lynch where he was a financial professional within the wealth management division.
Gary holds a BA in Computer Science from Cornell University and an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University
Lei Lin is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Tax Team. In her role, she focuses on tax compliance, reporting and operations for the products within the Credit platform.
Before joining Blue Owl, Lei was a Director at PwC, managing compliance and consulting engagements for asset management clients with various investment strategies ranging from direct lending, corporate and structured credit to private equity, long/short, real estate and other alternative strategies. During her tenure with PwC, Lei specialized in regulated investment companies such as BDCs, retail mutual funds, variable insurance products and ETFs, as well as, broader private equity, hedge funds and their management companies.
Lei received a BS in Accounting and Finance from Boston College. Lei is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York.
Patrick Linnemann is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. Patrick is also a Portfolio Manager for certain funds in Blue Owl's Diversified Lending strategy, including the Blue Owl Diversified Lending Fund. In addition, Logan is a member of the Investment Committee for the Diversified Lending strategy. In his role, he is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic oversight of the credit selection and portfolio management process across the funds he covers.
Before joining Blue Owl, Patrick was a Vice President at Angel Island Capital, the credit investment platform of Golden Gate Capital, from 2015 to 2016, where he focused on sourcing and evaluating credit investments. Before that, Patrick was Vice President of the Leverage Finance Capital Markets Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York from 2006 to 2015.
Patrick received a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Derek Liu is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on the underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management of credit investments in middle market technology companies.
Before joining Blue Owl, Derek was a Principal at Apollo Global Management, a leading global alternative investment management firm, responsible for the execution of middle market credit transactions. Prior to that, he was a Director at Barclays Private Credit Partners, a middle market private credit fund within Barclays Capital, and an Associate in Leveraged Finance at Barclays Capital. Derek began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Citigroup in the Leveraged Finance Corporate Banking Group.
Derek received a BS in Economics with a dual concentration in Finance and Information Systems, cum laude, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Larry Liu is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Information Technology Team. In his role, Larry is responsible for all aspects of technology across Institutional Business Development, Private Wealth and BDC fund raising groups as well as acting as a resource to business intelligence initiatives on technology-related matters.
Before joining Blue Owl Capital, Larry was a senior Director of a consulting firm where he held a variety of senior management and engineering roles across the firm’s capital markets and alternative investment/private equity divisions. Larry also worked at Credit Suisse and has over 15 years of experience in Investment Banking and Prime Brokerage and related fields.
Larry holds a MS in Computer Science from the City University of New York.
Jamie Lurie is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the GP Strategic Capital Investment Team. In her role, she focuses on GP Stakes investing across the platform, including the negotiation, structure and execution of minority stake equity, financing, and minority stake NBA transactions.
Before joining Blue Owl, Jamie was General Counsel of Dyal Capital, a division of Blue Owl and formerly Neuberger Berman. Prior to that, she was at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where her practice focused on advising public and private companies, as well as private equity funds, in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.
Jamie received her JD from Boston College Law School and holds a BA in History from Yale University.
Devin Mackie is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Business Services Platform. In his role, Devin is part of the Capital Strategy practice providing fundraising advisory and client development support to GP Strategic Capital Partner Managers. He is responsible for managing relationships with investment consultants and insurance companies.
Before joining Blue Owl, Devin was a Senior Vice President at Shenkman Capital, where he worked for three years, latterly as co-head of consultant relations. In this role, he led the Consultant Relations effort by developing, coordinating, and implementing business development plans for the investment consultant community. Prior to that, Devin was a Director at Lord Abbett, where he was responsible for managing relationships with global and national consulting firms. Earlier in his career, he worked at MFS Investment Management for nearly 10 years in various roles on the Institutional Consultant Relations team.
Devin received a BA in Business Marketing from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Babson College
Alexis Maged is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and Chief Credit Officer of the Credit Platform.
Alexis is also a member of the Investment Committee for each of the Blue Owl Credit Advisers, and Vice President of each of the Blue Owl BDCs.
Prior to joining Owl Rock, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Credit platform, in 2016, Alexis was Chief Financial Officer of Barkbox, Inc., a New York‐based provider of pet‐themed products and technology, from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Alexis was a Managing Director with Goldman Sachs & Co. from 2007 until 2014. At Goldman Sachs & Co., Alexis held several leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer of the investment bank’s Global Credit Finance businesses, Co‐Chair of the Credit Markets Capital Committee, and a member of the Firmwide Capital Committee. Prior to assuming that role in 2011, Alexis served as Chief Underwriting Officer for the Americas and oversaw the U.S. Bank Debt Portfolio Group and US Loan Negotiation Group. From mid‐2007 to the end of 2008, Alexis was Head of Bridge Finance Capital Markets in the Americas Financing Group’s Leveraged Finance Group, where he coordinated the firm’s High Yield Bridge Lending and Syndication business. Prior to joining Goldman, Sachs & Co., Alexis was Head of the Bridge Finance Group at Credit Suisse and worked in the Loan Capital Markets Group at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ). Upon DLJ’s merger with Credit Suisse in 2000, Alexis joined Credit Suisse’s Syndicated Loan Group and, in 2003, founded its Bridge Finance Group. Earlier in his career, Alexis was a member of the West Coast Sponsor Coverage Group at Citigroup and the Derivatives Group at Republic National Bank, as well as a founding member of the Loan Syndication Group at Swiss Bank Corporation.
Alexis holds a BA from Vassar College and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
